Dress Code

The Committee has approved a revision to the dress code for the F&B outlets on 12th March 2007. With this change, attire that is permitted on the golf course is now allowed in the F&B outlets. Jeans are also allowed in all F&B outlets. However, shorts are not allowed to be worn during dinner time at the Fairway Restaurant, Green Restaurant and Upper Gallery. 

The earlier approved dress codes for the golf courses, sports and others remain unchanged.

Below is the entire Dress Code of the Club for the various outlets and facilities incorporating both the revised dress codes for the F&B outlets and those without any changes. 

General

Mock turtleneck T-shirts and traditional costumes are allowed to be worn in the Club’s premises.  Accompanying traditional slippers are allowed, provided it is worn with the traditional costume.
All Members are to be decently dressed.  

Main Lounge

 

For Men -   All attire allowed for the golf course is permitted in the Main Lounge. All shirts must be tucked in except for Batik shirts or Hawaiian shirts. Jeans are also permitted, except for torn and shabby jean

For Ladies - Tank tops, bare midriff and attire which over-expose the anatomy are not allowed.  

The following are strictly not allowed in the Main Lounge :-

Sweat suits or jogging suits or pants, swimming suits, bath towels and bath robes

Singlets except worn as  undergarment.

Slippers, clogs and flip-flops.  

Attire that is dirty or conspicuously torn or patched up, deliberately or otherwise

Any footwear not befitting of a Member. 

Terrace (including Golfers' Terrace)

The dress code shall follow that of the Main Lounge with the exception that  sweat suits or jogging suits or their trousers are allowed at the Terrace.

Garden Terrace

The dress code shall follow that of the Main Lounge.

Fairway Restaurant, Green Restaurant & Upper Gallery

The dress code shall follow that of the Main Lounge, except during dinner time (after 7.00 pm) where shorts of any kind will not be permitted.

Reading Room, Billiards Room, Main Foyer and its vicinity

The dress code shall follow that of the Main Lounge. 

Wet and sweaty clothing, sleeveless shirts, singlets, shorts and slippers are strictly not allowed.  

Gymnasium

The following are permitted :-

Track suit pants and T-shirts (sleeveless included)

Sports shorts

Leotards.

Non-marking sports/athletic shoes

On the Golf Courses & Practice Grounds

Long and short trousers of any design are allowed except those with an elasticated waist or a pleated waistband with string or cord belting.   Jeans are not allowed.

Any collared T-shirt or mock turtleneck T-shirt with sleeves are allowed and the shirt must be tucked in.

Sweat suits, jogging suits or track suits or their trousers, jogging shorts or singlets are prohibited except when worn as undergarments.

Only standard spiked shoes are allowed.

   
  In addition to the above, the following dress codes are allowed for Ladies :-
  Shorts that are not more than four inches above the knee
Golf slacks and dress pants.

 Proper ladies golf sleeveless tops. 

 

  Ladies’ fashions that are designed to be worn out  (one which cannot be tucked in) but must be not less than       4 inches below the belt line.  

  Ladies who are pregnant are allowed to play golf temporarily without having to tuck in their shirts.
   
 

Tennis Courts, Tennis Pavilion and Squash Courts

  T-shirt for men and ladies may be collarless or sleeveless and need not be tucked in. 

Note:-  Upon leaving the above-mentioned venues, the dress code for the various outlets shall be adhered to.

   
Practice Range,Golf Academy, Swimming Pools, Poolside Recreational Area and General Multi-Purpose Room
Appropriate attire to suit the respective activities.
   

During Inter-Club Matches (Golf, Tennis, Squash, etc)

The designated Club White T-shirts are to be worn by all participants representing the Club. During Lunch/Dinner or Prize Giving Ceremony, the dress code shall adhere to the respective outlets.

Members are responsible for their guests’ attire and must ensure that the dress code is adhered

to at all times by their guests.
